COT006 - Chris Hirose - Overcome

Overcome is Chris Hirose's second outing on CONCEPTS OF TIME and he strikes back with a journey that feels like a long walk in the dark with shimmers of distant lights fading in.
"Penumbra" is a bass driven hypnosis slowly evolving, only broken through a minimalistic groove. The light becomes even brighter when the narcotic "Weak / End" starts with it's solid groove followed by a swirly arpeggio. And last but not least he teamed up with labelhead HOURS for "One Thing That Scares You". A raw stomper layered with lucid percussion and a gloomy & dusky voice.
